     Thank you for your interest in MOLAA’s interpretive programming! We offer both in-person and virtual experiences. Our most popular offering for K-12 school groups is our in-person tour and workshop combo, which includes an engaging, one-hour docent-led tour and discussion of our galleries. Following your tour, you are welcome to join us for a hands-on art workshop based on the current exhibitions. Pricing for this package is $12.00 per student and one chaperone for every 10 children under 18 gains admission free of charge. We typically book Tuesday through Friday at 10 AM, 12 PM, or 2 PM. However, we have scholarships available to offset these costs, so please inquire at [email protected] for eligibility.   Youth STEM Education & School Tour Programs

     A field trip to Battleship IOWA presents an array of entirely novel stimuli to the student. The features of a battleship compel their attention as it confronts them with features unprecedented in their experience. Most student visitors have never been aboard a ship of any type, much less a vintage WWII warship. They walk through President Roosevelt's private cabin, and climb to the Admiral's Bridge for an unmatched seven-story vista of their historic maritime village. They participate in a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) experience coupled with history creating a well-rounded educational event. Youth Education Field Trip: Follow our mascot (Victory) on his trip aboard Battleship IOWA and participate along the tour route in activities such as knots, pulley's, and ship related activities. The field trip comes with a guide that triggers thinking on critical functions aboard a US Navy ship. Call early to book preferred dates! Day of Discovery: Thousands of students participate annually in the joint program we host with LAUSD Office of Outdoor Education.   Field Trips at STAR Eco Station

     STAR Eco Station hosts field trips for schools and camps throughout Southern California. Each field trip lasts two hours, consisting of a one-hour assembly and a one-hour tour of the facility, with lessons aligned with California State Science Standards. Throughout the field trip, students learn about the latest developments in environmental protection and the ways in which wildlife interact with various ecosystems, embodying the STAR Eco Station mission of "preservation through education". The students also receive an up-close and hands-on experience with our rescued exotic wildlife, including tortoises, pythons, alligators, parrots, arachnids, lizards, and maybe even some small furry friends! The tour includes different environmental exhibits that showcase ways that students can help protect animals in the wild. Field trips are offered on weekdays only, from 10am-12pm. The rate is $12 per child and $14 adult visitor with a $200 minimum. We offer one free adult per 10 children for groups of 40 or more (20 child min). Maximum capacity is 120 people per field trip.   Youth STEM Education & School Tour Programs

     A field trip to Battleship IOWA presents an array of entirely novel stimuli to the student. The features of a battleship compel their attention as it confronts them with features unprecedented in their experience. Most student visitors have never been aboard a ship of any type, much less a vintage WWII warship. They walk through President Roosevelt's private cabin, and climb to the Admiral's Bridge for an unmatched seven-story vista of their historic maritime village. They participate in a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) experience coupled with history creating a well-rounded educational event. Youth Education Field Trip: Follow our mascot (Victory) on his trip aboard Battleship IOWA and participate along the tour route in activities such as knots, pulley's, and ship related activities. The field trip comes with a guide that triggers thinking on critical functions aboard a US Navy ship. Call early to book preferred dates! Day of Discovery: Thousands of students participate annually in the joint program we host with LAUSD Office of Outdoor Education. The Day of Discovery programs provides in-situ activities that provide memorable learning activities for our leaders of the future. This program is popular and dates fill up fast. Camp Battleship: a youth overnight program that begins with a STEAM introduction tour, dinner, evening activity, and sleeping in the actual bunks that sailors used during IOWA's last commissioning.   Field Trips at STAR Eco Station

     STAR Eco Station hosts field trips for schools and camps throughout Southern California. Each field trip lasts two hours, consisting of a one-hour assembly and a one-hour tour of the facility, with lessons aligned with California State Science Standards. Throughout the field trip, students learn about the latest developments in environmental protection and the ways in which wildlife interact with various ecosystems, embodying the STAR Eco Station mission of "preservation through education". The students also receive an up-close and hands-on experience with our rescued exotic wildlife, including tortoises, pythons, alligators, parrots, arachnids, lizards, and maybe even some small furry friends! The tour includes different environmental exhibits that showcase ways that students can help protect animals in the wild. Field trips are offered on weekdays only, from 10am-12pm. The rate is $12 per child and $14 adult visitor with a $200 minimum. We offer one free adult per 10 children for groups of 40 or more (20 child min). Maximum capacity is 120 people per field trip.   Field Trips to the MOLAA!

     Thank you for your interest in MOLAA’s interpretive programming! We offer both in-person and virtual experiences. Our most popular offering for K-12 school groups is our in-person tour and workshop combo, which includes an engaging, one-hour docent-led tour and discussion of our galleries. Following your tour, you are welcome to join us for a hands-on art workshop based on the current exhibitions. Pricing for this package is $12.00 per student and one chaperone for every 10 children under 18 gains admission free of charge. We typically book Tuesday through Friday at 10 AM, 12 PM, or 2 PM. However, we have scholarships available to offset these costs, so please inquire at [email protected] for eligibility. School tours are typically on hiatus for the month of July due to Summer Camp programming. MOLAA does accept CAP and ELOP (Expanded Learning Opportunity Program) requests.
